CLEAR WATER
RIVER RESTORATION MANUAL

CLEAR WATER

Clear Waters is the first journal of river restoration techniques and culture and is intended by CIRF to arouse awareness in Public administrators and decision makers from Institutes involved in river managing, besides technicians, researchers and specialised media, in order to promote the Association and its activities.
The journal is sent free to all these and so it represents an investment meant to gain popularity.

RIVER RESTORATION MANUAL

This first book that CIRF edited for the wider public is the River Restoration Manual, translated in Italian from the book produced by the River Restoration Centre (RCC), as an agreement between the two institutions.
The manual illustrates two restoration projects regarding the rivers Cole and Skerne in England. Detailed information is given about the techniques used in the two cases, well illustrated by thematic chapters in which the reader may find all the elements to adapt and repeat the schemes to other cases. The two projects were in fact developed as "pilot actions", in the aim to represent practical examples to be reproduced in any natural or artificial stream, where the ecological and hydrological functions could benefit from restoration measures.
