MASSIMO RINALDI
Geologist


He holds a degree in Geology from the University of Firenze (1989) and a Ph.D. in Engineering Geology, Geomorphology and Hydrology from the Università Perugina. He is now a researcher in Applied Geology at the University of Firenze.
He’s a co-founder of AIGA (Italian Association of Applied Geology), AIGEO (Italian Association of Physical Geography and Geomorphology) and IEAG (International Association of Engineering Geology). His main research themes are: river dynamics, riverbeds morphology, evolution and effects of human interventions, methods of identification and analysis of riverbeds, morphological reconstruction of rivers, re-naturalisation, modelling and monitoring of saturated and not-saturated flows and instability mechanisms in river banks.
