1992-95: Dottorato di Ricerca in Geografia, sotto la direzione di J.P. Bravard, Université Paris IV - Sorbonne. Soggetto: «Dynamiques et gestion de la forêt alluviale de cinq cours d'eau à charge grossière du bassin du Rhône: l'Ain, l'Ardèche, le Giffre, l'Ouvèze et l'Ubaye (XIX°-XX° siècles)».
1990-92: Laurea Specialistica, Università di Lione III. Soggetto: "Interface Homme-nature et problèmes d'aménagement".
